Trial Keepers
Rather than Gym Leaders, Aotra has Trial Keepers, who follow a specific theme, rather than a type.

High Council
Rather than the usual Elite Four and Champion, Aotra instead has the mysterious High Council. They specialize in a specific type and gimmick, and represent a specific colour.
Notably, a member of the High Council will use a full team that can utilize a given gimmick, even if the gimmick can only be used once per battle. So Faniry's entire team is holding Z-Crystals, so she can use a Z-Move with any one of them, for example. The sole exception to this appears to be Hasina, as she uses all of the gimmicks.
